Project Details

  • This 100-year-old historic stone masonry palace was under use by the state government until it was destroyed beyond repairs in the Gujarat Earthquake of 2001.
  • The Palace occupies an area of approximately 2 Lakh Sq. ft. with a massive temple in its front courtyard. It has a height of up to 40’ and the temple Shikar top reaches beyond 150’.
  • Structwel was appointed as an Architectural and Engineering Consultants for the Project with the mandate to restore and retrofit the entire structure.

Restoration and Adaptive of Falaknuma Palace

Project Details

  • Restoration and Strengthening of this structure over 200-year-old constructed in Moghul style of architectural was conducted.
  • The damages mainly to the wooden member were related age and neglect. The intricate interior details of the damage were viewed and detected by innovative use of endoscopy and endoscopic photographs.
  • The structure was strengthened for adaptive use as a hotel.

  • Pune University Main building was originally summer residence of Governor of Bombay, during the British Raj. The structure was built in 1864 and is a typical example of colonial architecture.
  • This is a load bearing structure with composite masonry and comprises of huge articulately decorated meeting halls.
  • Unique features are its grandeur and a tower block.
  • The work on restoration including the interior furnishing is in final stages of execution.

Structural Strengthening & waterproofing of the existing under ground tunnel

Malabar Hills, Mumbai

Project Details

  • Raj bhavan is a Grade II B structure located on the southernmost tip of Malabar hill and is enclosed by Arabian sea from three sides.
  • The bunker below the lawns of Raj bhavan is a unique example of urban archaeology. This 200-meter-long underground tunnel was built in British Era which remained uncovered for nearly 6 decades. It was discovered in August 2016.
  • The bunker has 13 rooms of different sizes. It opens with a 20 ft. tall gate.
  • Structwel was hired to carry out structural strengthening of the bunker.

  • This Dargah and Mosque structure is a classic of Islamic architecture. It is a Monument constructed mid-sea of the coast of Mumbai.
  • The structure is being demolished and reconstructed in marble masonry, without brick, concrete or steel.

  • The structure is a distinguishing landmark of Mumbai constructed in 1924.
  • The structure has Muslim – Indian Architectural features based on 16th Century Gujarati styles of architecture.
  • Now remembered as the point from which the last British troops left India.

  • This is a World Heritage Building. It is the Head Quarters of the Central Railway.

Restoration of Taj Mahal Palace Hotel after terrorist attack of 26/11

  • The Taj Mahal Palace is one of the landmark heritage structures of Mumbai, with a rich history.
  • The iconic hotel was subjected to the brutal terrorist attack on the 26/11/2008.
  • Structwel did entire heritage conservation and structural retrofitting of the structure damaged due to fire and bomb blast.
